Student Startup Supportion Program “E*5 KAIST” (2020fall)

KAIST Startup Support Office announces “E*5 KAIST (2nd half of 2020)”, a student start-up support program that specifically and practically supports the process of commercialization of ideas.


E*5 KAIST?

  • Providing systematic and practical support to develop startup ideas into business(Fund, Space, Mentoring, etc.)
  • Training, mentoring, coaching, evaluation, etc. to foster startup teams

OVERVIEW

  • Purpose: Providing systematic and practical support to develop startup ideas into business
  • Support
    • Details: Training and mentoring (Mentor-Mentee matching), Funding, Space, etc.
    • Mentors: Korea’s leading venture capital investors and experts
      • BonAngels Venture Partners, Bluepoint Partners, CNT Tech, Kakao Ventures, FuturePlay
    • Financial Support
      • 500,000 KRW for each selected team
      • Additional support for winners of each mission
      • Up to 20 million KRW for the final award team

APPLICANT ELIGIBILITY

Individuals or teams including at least one KAIST student (Undergraduate or Graduate) currently enrolled or on leave of absence


  • Ineligibility Criteria
    • Team or individual including representatives of a company whose business license registration date exceeds one year from the program start date
    • Previous participants of E*5 KAIST applying with the same business idea
    • Previous award winners of E*5 KAIST (With the exception of Special Prize)

  • Application Period: August 21, 2020 (Fri) ~ September 13, 2020 (Sun) 23:59
  • Submission site: Startup KAIST webpage(https://startup.kaist.ac.kr/e5-2020fall-register)
  • Future Dates
    • Application review: September 14 (Mon) ~ September 17 (Thu)
    • Notice of application qualifiers (“Pre-E*5 Teams”): September 18 (Fri)
    • Final notice of “E*5 KAIST Teams”: September 22 (Tue) ~ September 24 (Thu)
